About MSA PDF Print E-mail

The Muslim Students Association at Duke University is a student-run and DSG chartered group on campus. The association plans religious, social, political, and cultural activities related to Islam as a religion and various Muslim cultures as a people in order to serve the needs of the Duke community, regardless of their faith.

For the past few years, the MSA has grown to be one of the most dynamic student groups on campus. Its signature events – Campus Wide Fast during Ramadan and Islamic Awareness Month in the spring – attract hundreds of Duke students, faculty, and staff as well as members of the larger Triangle community. Along with events and activities related to Islam, the MSA provides a warm environment and tight-knit community that is sensitive to and conscious of issues facing Muslim students. The relationships formed from MSA extends beyond MSA functions into prayer halls, classrooms, soup kitchens, coffeehouses, and many other corners of this earth, including Cameron Indoor Stadium to celebrate a National Championship (GO DEVILSSS!). For more information about up-to-date MSA activities and events, check out the rest of this website.
